Terms of Service

Clear, fair terms that protect both of us while we create beautiful outdoor spaces together on Cape Cod.

These terms are like our handshake agreement - they protect both of us and make sure we're on the same page. I've written them in plain language because I believe business should be built on trust and clear communication.

  • Morning start times when possible (weather permitting)
  • Flexible scheduling for seasonal priority work

Property Access & Safety

We treat your property with the same respect we'd want for our own homes. Here's how we handle access, safety, and care of your space:

Property Access

  • Gate codes/keys handled securely
  • Parking arranged in advance
  • Equipment storage discussed beforehand

Safety Protocols

  • Pets secured during work for their safety
  • Children kept at safe distance from equipment

We take utility protection seriously. Before any digging work:

Cleanup Commitment

We clean up as we go and do a final cleanup before leaving. This includes removing debris, properly disposing of materials, and leaving your property better than we found it. If you're ever unsatisfied with our cleanup, let us know and we'll return to make it right.

Liability & Responsibility

Licensed & Professional

Best Touch Landscaping maintains all required Massachusetts contractor licenses and operates with professional standards. We take full responsibility for our work and will address any issues promptly and fairly.

What We're Responsible For

  • Damage caused by our work or negligence
  • Worker injuries on your property
  • Equipment malfunctions causing damage
  • Professional mistakes in workmanship

What We're Not Responsible For

  • Pre-existing property conditions
  • Natural plant failure beyond warranty
  • Weather-related damage

Damage Reporting

If something goes wrong, here's our process:

  • • Document everything with photos
  • • Take full responsibility for any damage we cause
  • • Work together on the fastest, fairest resolution

Your Insurance

We recommend checking with your homeowner's insurance about coverage during landscaping work. Most policies cover contractor work, but it's worth confirming with your agent.

Environmental Stewardship

Cape Cod's natural beauty is why we all live here. We're committed to protecting our environment while creating beautiful landscapes that work with, not against, our coastal ecosystem.

Our Environmental Commitments

  • Native plant recommendations when possible
  • Water conservation landscaping practices
  • Minimal chemical use approach
  • Proper disposal of all materials
  • Soil health and erosion prevention

Regulatory Compliance

  • Massachusetts pesticide licensing
  • Cape Cod water protection compliance
  • Local wetland and conservation rules
  • Seasonal restriction awareness

Chemical Application Policy

When chemicals are necessary, we follow strict guidelines:

  • • Always discuss options with you first
  • • Use the least toxic effective method
  • • Apply only when weather conditions are appropriate
  • • Provide safety information and re-entry times
  • • Keep detailed records of all applications

Cape Cod Special Considerations

Our coastal location requires extra care with salt tolerance plantings, wind protection, and water table awareness. We factor these unique Cape Cod conditions into every recommendation and installation.

Quality Guarantees & Warranties

We Stand Behind Our Work

Your satisfaction is our reputation in the Cape Cod community. If something isn't right, we'll make it right - that's my personal guarantee after 28+ years in business.

Workmanship Guarantee

  • 1 year on all labor and installation
  • Free correction of any installation issues
  • Structural hardscaping guaranteed
  • Immediate response to safety issues

Plant & Material Warranties

Trees & Shrubs

1 year replacement guarantee with proper care

Perennials

6 months with basic maintenance requirements

Annuals

30 days (nature of annual plants)

Warranty Requirements

To maintain warranty coverage, plants need basic care:

  • • Regular watering (especially first year)
  • • Protection from pets and mechanical damage
  • • Following our care instructions
  • • Reporting problems within reasonable time

Seasonal Limitations

Cape Cod's harsh winters and salt air can stress plants beyond anyone's control. We factor these conditions into our plant selection and will work with you on any issues, even beyond warranty periods when reasonable.
